This contract began for ASL in February 2013 and ended in December of the same year.
We were asked by our client to provide scaffolding to 100% of the bridge including down the pier legs for access to bridge repairs, welding, blasting/painting. The main working platform had to be covered in polythene and then ply wood screwed down on top to prevent any contamination into the river Clyde. The pier leg scaffolds were more challenging dictated to by tide times/ water levels. At some points our men were working under flood light at 4am to ensure we took the opportunity to keep up with the site program.
At the time of build it was the largest scaffold of that type ASL had taken on but completed on time and budget thanks to the hard work and skill of not only our team on site but behind the scenes in our office, yard staff and lorry drivers.
